     Music at the Spirit dance varies from Friday to Friday but we have a few genres that form the mainstay of our offerings.   Most of the music is prerecorded with an occasional DJ or live music.   Sound is provided by a huge professional JBL Dance System driven by 2 racks of QSC amps.   A 30 foot Octagon Lighting Truss is suspended above the Dance floor.

Featuring Live Performance by DJ Epsilon and Friends!

 Radiance is a monthly spiritual music event organized with the intention of helping seekers awaken their consciousness to higher realities through the incredible power of sound. Using the ancient tools of music and dance, participants are invited to collectively experience unity in diversity and peace in the face of conflict. It is open to all ages, traditions and beliefs.


EZ .:. 8-10pm

Erik Zu is a shining light in the Pacific Northwest's downtempo and psytrance communities. His sets are always uniquely his, blending multiple styles of IDM, Psychill, Glitch and Hip-Hop together with great skill and taste. He's always got some new music up his sleeve, his sets spanning a great variety of emotional states. Instrumental to the success of many of the northwest's psy events, Erik is venturing into uptempo territory this time around. We welcome him in his recent move to Portland from Salem.


Epsylon .:. 10pm - 12am

Brennan treads upon intertwining spiritual, academic and musical paths in his journey towards creating a better future. His music aims to integrate the mystic traditions of the east and the west into a unified whole, unlocking hidden potential in the genetic code. He has studied meditation and yoga in the Himalayas, attended Berklee College of Music on a B.E.S.T. Guitar Scholarship, and is a graduate of St. John’s College of Santa Fe. He is the founder of the production company and record label Metakinetics, a teacher in the Rocky Mountain Mystery School, and a licensed college music professor in the State of Oregon.


Blue Submarine .:. 12pm - 2am

Originally from Tokyo, Japan, Blue Submarine moved to his current home of Portland in 1998. The former club kid started out as a bedroom DJ in 2002 and in just three short years developed into a full-fledged force in Portland's electronic music scene. Blue's power-driven beats are reminiscent of DJs like Satoshi Tomiie, Deep Dish, and Dirty Vegas, and his intoxicating sets are infused with a unique blend of Japanese and Western aesthetics.

Specializing in progressive, tribal house, electro house, and psy-trance, his style is characterized by heavily melodic, yet very energetic tracks that are quite memorable and very danceable. His positive vibes, mesmerizing dance style and enthusiastic presence contribute to the overall atmosphere of each event and enable him deliver exceptionally compelling performances. This energizing and provocative DJ promises to become one of the next great figures in the West Coast electronica community. Blue Submarine's events are energizing experiences that should not be missed. Good times...

The members of Metakinetics recognize that the youth culture of electronic music is the underpinning force behind a social and spiritual movement that is unprecedented in the history of humankind. It is the first mass movement that takes a truly integral approach to the evolution of consciousness and thereby achieves the dissolution of cultural and class barricades that have been causing racial, economical and social problems for thousands of years. Although the movement is only in its beginning phases, it has already given the youth of the world a sense of unity and purpose that is of greater influence to the individual than its governments and religions. Social conditioning and its various negative effects cannot be fully overcome without a new paradigm to replace them. Our culture is this new paradigm, united by music, providing a safe haven for those who feel that the old paradigms are no longer adequate.

We are dedicated to accelerating the momentum of this movement by facilitating the integration of higher consciousness with the practical routines of everyday life. We accomplish this goal by hosting spiritually-focused dance events and releasing musical recordings honoring the importance of pure intentions, the expansion of self-awareness, and the wisdom of sustainability. It is our will that these events and recordings provide a space in which new and potent connections can be made not only between the individuals that attend and participate, but between the conscious minds of those individuals and their own inner potency. The space we aim to create is not merely one of partying and celebration, but of inner discovery, interconnection, and self-realization.

We realize that our culture at large is often subjected to scrutiny by administrative powers in addition to forces that either do not understand our intention or are not in alignment with our purpose. We intend to fully cooperate with all parties that do not violate our inherent right to gather peaceably, without violating the rights of others, for the purpose of expressing and developing our spirituality. It is always our wish to coexist peaceably with those around us, and we will make every reasonable effort to do so in the course of building Shambhalla, the perfected world of the future.


About the Crystal Temple

The Crystal Temple is a diverse spiritual center operating with the focused intention of bringing more light to the Portland area and the west coast. At the core of its offerings are classes in the western mystic traditions, including powerful healing modalities, initiations and rituals for spiritual protection and empowerment handed down from the Temple of King Salomon. It is open to all people and belief systems.
