     Music at the Spirit dance varies from Friday to Friday but we have a few genres that form the mainstay of our offerings.   Most of the music is prerecorded with an occasional DJ or live music.   Sound is provided by a huge professional JBL Dance System driven by 2 racks of QSC amps.   A 30 foot Octagon Lighting Truss is suspended above the Dance floor.

Epsylon says:

Radiance is a monthly spiritual music event organized with the intention of helping seekers awaken their consciousness to higher realities through the incredible power of sound. Using the ancient tools of sound and dance, participants are invited to collectively experience unity in diversity and peace in the face of conflict. It is open to all ages, traditions and beliefs.

Electronic music in all its forms has been a passion of mine since 1998. I believe this music, in all its forms, has great transformative power and goes far beyond simple entertainment. TV is entertainment. Video games are entertainment. But electronic music is a spiritual movement, a unifying force for a generation. The sound has shown me greater beauty than I had ever imagined. The people have shown me love, acceptance and kindness, the extent of which is truly rare in this world.

There is no better feeling than being on the dancefloor, entranced in perfect harmony with those around me. It is a meditation, producing an awakened state of consciousness. The beats repeat like a mantra, echoing out into the far reaches of the inner self. The longer I dance and the more I surrender to the sound, the farther it takes me away from my ego and into the realm of divinity, where we are all one.

My entire effort as a DJ, producer and event promoter is but the least I can do to give back. It is such an incredible blessing to experience so much love and joy in a lifetime. My gratitude can only be truly expressed by facilitating the same experience for others.

Epsylon 

Epsylon (Brennan) treads upon intertwining spiritual, academic and musical paths in his journey towards creating a better future. He has studied meditation and yoga in the Himalayas, attended Berklee College of Music on a B.E.S.T. Guitar Scholarship, and is a graduate of St. John’s College of Santa Fe. He is the founder of the production company and record label Metakinetics, certified Teacher of the Rocky Mountain Mystery School, and a licensed college professor in the State of Oregon. 

PsyRen 

PsyRen is a fairly new psychedelic trance producer who has been learning about synthesizers and DAW software for 4 years. He strives to create unique and complex audio bubbles of rhythmic math that take your sense of sound into a joyous overload while simultaneously giving your aura a tune-up maintenance and letting your brain's foundation know that its time to increase the range of audible frequency in yourself and your next of kin. You can expect to hear new songs produced by psyRen for years and years to come. Some of the things that have influenced him include:  yoga, eastern philosophy, Robert Anton Wilson, Shpongle, Autechre, oCeLoT, the Nommos, the fact that everything you hear are vibrations of energy traveling through a medium and the fact that everything you see is light projected into your brain.

Jamie has been a central and pioneering figure in the Pacific Northwest’s trance community since 1998, moving to Oregon from San Francisco where he received important spiritual information about the role of trance music in the planetary awakening of consciousness. Over the next decade, he became a leader in the Northwest’s trance scene, helping focalize the Apollo’s Lute quarterly solstice and equinox gatherings and performing across the West Coast. He travels frequently to other cities and sometimes other countries in his work of awakening consciousness with his powerful music.
